Professional Services Category Spotlight: Could the New Micro Thresholds have Revolutionary Effects?
Thursday, November 1, 2018 5:00:00 PM UTC - 6:30:00 PM UTC
One of the first changes during the procurement reform era of the 1990s was the introduction of a “micro-purchase” authority in the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1995. Since that time, the micro-purchase limit has been raised to $10k, for many civilian agencies, making it practical, for the first time, to use micro-purchases to buy services, and not just products. This has the potential to be revolutionary for the procurement system.

How will this affect the use of these credit cards? How will contractors adapt? How will agencies use this tool to the best advantage? Audience participation is highly encouraged!
