Risk Analysis and Management through Proactive Supplier Engagement
Wednesday, March 25, 2020 5:00:00 PM UTC - 6:00:00 PM UTC
The federal acquisition workforce has long recognized the importance of proactive supplier engagement to
deliver on requirements and mission goals. But studies have shown that a proactive supplier engagement
strategy plays an important role in risk management. This webinar will review current risk management
research and global trends which leading practice firms have established – as they successfully pursue their
commercial strategies and tactics. The content will cover the nuts-and-bolts of how others are using risk
management to generate greater levels of value in their supply chain. The session will also highlight how
problem-solving and business acumen skills are essential for success. Some of the topics will include:
 How technology, ranging from Artificial Intelligence to Big Data, is driving the Fourth Industrial
Revolution and requires collaboration and integration across the supply chain
 The contractual elements, including T’s and C’s, SOW’s, SLA’s and KPI’s, which need to be revised
 The financial models which are serving as enablers, and which are becoming disablers, in this domain
 Why project management is driving greater success in risk management and commercial contracting
 How can the key tenets of relational contracting ensure risks are effectively managed
 Whether outcome-based and performance-based contracting have a role in supplier engagement
