This Month's Topic: Best in Class Contracts

Best in Class (BIC) contracts are pre-vetted, well- managed solutions that meet defined criteria for management maturity and data sharing. Government-wide category teams have worked to identify and designate BIC vehicles to reduce the effort you have to put in to research and find solutions. When adopted across government, use of BIC contracts:

•	Leads to a reduction in contract duplication, better leveraging the government's collective buying power and helping agencies operate more efficiently.
•	Provides transparency and standardization that leads to better data-driven business decisions.
•	Reduces administration burdens and costs
•	Eliminates practices that dilute or reduce the government’s shared purchasing power.

During this event, Professional Services Category Manager Geri Haworth will discuss BIC solutions, including how acquisition professionals governmentwide should consider and use BIC contracts to the maximum extent practicable.
